Assertiveness
|
Mastering assertiveness skills can do a lot more than just help you win
arguments and manage conflicts. Assertiveness is the ability to
express one’s feelings, beliefs, and thoughts, and defend one’s rights
in a non-destructive manner. If you want to enhance your ability to
persuade others to help you reach your goals, assertiveness training is
an important first step. At the conclusion of this training you will
be able to explain the benefits of assertive communication, identify
and distinguish between four behavioral communication styles, develop
I-statements that enhance self-esteem and promote assertiveness, and
identify steps to increase assertiveness.
