This coursework is designed for any professional who is responsible for the supervision of employees.  Check our calendar to see when this program is offered next or contact us to find out how this program can be customized and delivered on-site to your organization. The program will meet one night per week for 16 weeks and will enhance your knowledge and skills in the following areas:

 

Feedback and Performance Coaching

  •   Benchmark top management’s promising practices
  •   Identify various performance coaching styles.

 

Communication at Work

  •  Recognize differing communication styles
  •    Learn how to use email effectively and appropriately
  •   Identify the impact of nonverbal signals and learn to us them to enhance your communication.
  •     Discuss the common causes of communication breakdowns and how to correct them

 

Presentation and Facilitation Skills

  •   Identify your facilitation style and how to adapt it to meet the needs of your employees and teams
  •   Enhance your group facilitation skills
  •   Identify the characteristics of an effective trainer
  •   Practice preparing for and directing a focused, productive meeting
  •   Learn how to interject your ideas while maintaining impartiality

 

Interviewing and Hiring

  •   Identify and discuss valid and legal hiring practices
  •   Practice conducting effective interviews to get the right people for the right jobs
  •   Identify the consequences and liability of a weak safety program
  •   Interpret industry hiring standards
  •    Become knowledgeable about worker’s compensation

 

Team Work

  •   Discover how to develop and build effective teams
  •   Identify techniques for resolving conflict
  •   Learn how to delegate and manage multiple priorities by prioritizing tasks and increasing employee involvement
  •   Benchmark promising practices for orienting and training new employees
  •   Learn how to create and foster continuous improvement among your staff and organization
